Louise Nicholson
Carter, AAHID, IIDA, a principal and founder of CDA+, has over
30 years experience in interior design. She devotes her attention to the creative and conceptual aspects of the firm's projects as well as management of the firm. Ms. Carter received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Houston, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is licensed in the states of Texas and Illinois.
An asset to her community and profession, Ms. Nicholson Carter has held many leadership positions in the Institute of Business Designers (IBD) and the Texas Association for Interior Designers
(TAID). She served two terms (2003 - 2005) as president of TAID representing over 7000 Interior Designers in the State of Texas.
On Jun 13, 2005, Ms. Carter was inducted as one of 50 Founding
Members of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers
(AAHID) and currently serves on its Board of Regents as Director of
Communications.
An innovative designer, Ms. Carter implements cutting-edge healthcare design solutions into her projects. Many of these projects have been recognized and honored with awards from the ASID/Houston Chronicle Interior Design Competition, Texas Society of Architects, and International Interior Design Association TX/OK Excellence Awards.
Her growing practice includes art-consulting services with a focus on the therapeutic impact of art in the healing environment.

Don W. Carter,
AIA is a principal and founder of CDA+. Before establishing CDA+, he was a principal and founder of Watkins Carter Hamilton Architects. Mr. Carter brings extensive experience (over 30 years and $2 billion) in planning, design, architectural documentation and construction administration. His project management and construction document expertise makes him a strong leader for project team members and earns CDA+ many longstanding and repeat clients. Don Carter received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is NCARB certified and is a registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas
Mr. Carter has directed a large number of projects for educational and healthcare clients with much of his work receiving awards from organizations such as the American Hospital Association, Texas Hospital Association, Texas Society of Architects, among others.
